The 2030 Vision
Daughters for Earth 2030 Vision
A decisive decade for women and the Earth
The years leading to 2030 represent a narrow window to meet global commitments on climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development. At the same time, funding for environmental protection and women-led initiatives is shrinking, creating a widening gap between promises and action. We need to take bold action, now.
Daughters for Earth was created to help close that gap. Since 2022, we have supported more than 200 women-led initiatives restoring ecosystems, strengthening communities, and building new economic pathways rooted in the protection of nature. Our experience and research show that women-led solutions are not only effective, they are catalytic.
Our 2030 Vision sets out how we will turn this proof into large-scale change.

Our 2030 Vision sets out how we will turn this proof into large-scale change.
Why This Matters
By 2030, the world had hoped to meet goals to limit warming to 1.5°C, and protect and restore at least 30% of land and sea. But these commitments cannot be achieved without investing in the people already protecting nature on the ground.
Women, especially Indigenous and those closest to the issues, are among the most effective stewards of biodiversity. Yet women-led environmental efforts receive a fraction of global climate and conservation funding, some say as low as 0.2%. Closing that gap is one of the most powerful ways that we can create change in this decisive decade.
Our Goals for Transformative Impact
By 2030, Daughters for Earth will focus on three ambitious and interconnected goals:
Unleash $100 million for women-led efforts addressing climate change and biodiversity loss.
Make the case, with evidence and storytelling, that women-led initiatives are among the most effective, efficient, and holistic ways to protect nature while strengthening communities.
Help reshape philanthropy itself, demonstrating that environmental organizations can move toward long-term financial resilience while remaining deeply rooted in their mission.
These goals are delivered through a multi-layer funding approach that identifies emerging leaders, deepens support for high-impact initiatives, and helps mature organizations build sustainable models for the future.

Our Vision is grounded in learning and proof. Through monitoring, evaluation, and research partnerships, we are documenting the long-term impact of women-led environmental action. These findings are already helping to shift global conversations, from policy spaces to major international gatherings on climate and biodiversity.
The challenges are urgent, but so is the opportunity. With focused, strategic investments, we can help shift global systems toward regeneration, resilience, and equity. Our 2030 Vision is not only a plan. It is an invitation to philanthropists, partners, policymakers, and individuals to help scale solutions that have already proven effective. Will you join us?
